Good news for PrecisionHawk fans! On Wednesday, we launched a partnership designed to streamline end-to-end operations for serious UAV operators.
Here at Skyward, we spend a lot of time talking shop with commercial drone operators all over the world. What problems are they solving? What challenges do they have? We consistently hear that managing multiple disconnected apps and technologies requires a significant amount of time, especially for those businesses that are beginning to scale up.
That administrative overhead takes time away from flying, processing data, and connecting with customers.
This is one of the many reasons why partnering with PrecisionHawk makes so much sense. Together, we’re providing a complete set of tools across the entire workflow, helping businesses operate more efficiently—and save precious time. (You can sign up for more information here.)
Our partnership with PrecisionHawk gives operators a one-stop shop for planning, mapping, managing, and analyzing assets via three components:
- The integration of Skyward’s flight operations system with the Lancaster drone, the DJI-PrecisionHawk Smarter Farming package, and PrecisionHawk’s DataMapper.
- Skyward’s airspace intelligence tools will be integrated into PrecisionHawk’s LATAS safety platform.
- When used together, business have a seamless end-to-end platform, from planning to aerial data collection to analysis.
“As we continue to grow our offerings on a global scale, PrecisionHawk is always looking for ways to better serve its customers by adding tools that are easy, automated and efficient,” said Christopher Dean, PrecisionHawk CoFounder and President. “This partnership with Skyward allows us to provide a complete commercial drone offering to the market. We are excited to partner with Skyward and bring this holistic offering to our customer base.”
Customers of PrecisionHawk and Skyward will now have access to an end-to-end commercial drone operations management platform.
“PrecisionHawk provides best-in-class hardware and software for the agriculture, aggregates, insurance, and energy industries, and we’re proud to join forces to give these companies more tools to access the sky safely and grow their businesses,” said Jonathan Evans, Skyward CEO.
“Drone operators need resources to efficiently manage fleets and get accurate airspace intelligence. This partnership builds on the robustness of the existing PrecisionHawk platform.”
About PrecisionHawk’s LATAS
At Skyward, safety is our #1 priority, which is why our expertly validated Airspace Map is a core feature of our platform. Now, our airspace data is being incorporated with PrecisionHawk’s LATAS, which stands for low altitude tracking and avoidance system. LATAS provides flight planning, tracking, and avoidance for any drone, regardless of manufacturer, using real-time flight data transmission based on existing world-wide cellular networks. Developed to be plug and play or integrated into a UAV’s circuit during manufacturing, LATAS is small (3x2x1in), light (smaller than 100 grams), and operational on network speeds as low as 2G. This will give every operator who uses LATAS an extra layer of safety and risk mitigation—essential to meet the requirements of major corporations or growing businesses.
